Three years ago, life threw us together in the middle of a desperate housing search. With no better option, we moved in together (not that we had much of a choice). What started as a shared living situation turned into a friendship built on ups, downs, wild nights, jam sessions, drawing sprees, and endless conversations. Somewhere in between, we asked ourselves:

From nothing to something,

from concept to reality,

from three strangers

to friends and partners.

Somewhere in between, we asked ourselves:

Why not do something BIGGER?

We realized that if we combined our talents, creativity, and ambition, the synergy would be far greater than anything we could do alone. And so, after a simple question

—"Mark, why don’t we do something with your drawings?"—

The Bittersuits project was born in 2023.

From that moment, we worked step by step to turn an idea into reality. It wasn’t easy. None of us had ever launched a brand before. We were international students in the Netherlands, juggling studies, side jobs, and the challenges of building something from scratch. It was frustrating at times. We doubted. We argued. We failed. But we also learned, evolved, and pushed forward.

Now, two years later, here we are. After countless trials and errors. After disagreements, tutorials, frustrations. After wins, losses, doubt, and hope.What you will be holding in your hands is more than just apparel—it’s proof that persistence pays off. It’s the foundation of a community we hope to build and the inspiration we want to pass forward.

And truthfully? You inspire us. Everyone who wakes up and keeps going—whether you feel amazing or exhausted, whether you’re winning or struggling—you show up, you try. And that, to us, is everything.
